We took a trip to Idaho to visit the Wells family this July. It was amazing! We got to celebrate the 4th in Bear Lake which was really fun for this family of Canadians.
This is the annual "Porch of Fire" at my brother Brad's house. We have a fantastic dutch oven dinner and then sit on his porch and watch the cousins shoot off fireworks. This was especially fun for our kids since fireworks are illegal for us to buy in Alberta.

This is what happens between supper and the fireworks. It is affectionately known as the "basket-brawl". It started out as a fun basketball game between my four brothers. Now they have added brothers-in-law and nephews to the mix. The game isn't really going until blood has been drawn and several men or boys have been thrown to the ground. There are no rules and no fouls called. As far as I know the older guys have won every year.

Our trip wouldn't be complete without a trip to Bear Lake. As you can see, Braxton was really enjoying himself.
We then took the party to Utah. We stopped at Lagoon and had an amazing day. Here we are with Brad and Jennifer's family.

Love the Fourth of July pix! Kyle would like me to sternly correct you, and tell you that he and Ken won the brawl one year, right before He headed off to Bulgaria. They beat Brad and Rich in a very bloody battle!!!
