Basketball, Birthdays, and Hairspray!

The season is upon us again. By that I mean basketball season. Jordan is playing for his high school senior team and Sydni for the junior team. So far both teams have been doing really well. Both the kids play point guard.

Jordan's team just got back from a tournament in Edmonton. They played really well and ended up losing to the defending provincial champion team after one of their players threw a shot from about 10 feet behind half court with no time on the clock and it went in! If I hadn't been there, I never would have believed it.
Jordan was picked as one of the five tournament all stars.


This week Jordan had a game with the other high school in Airdrie. The teams have a bit of a rivalry going on. Jordan had been throwing up all night before the game. I let him sleep in the next day and miss his first class. His coach called me in a panic, but Jordan wasn't about to let a little vomit stop him from playing. He had to attend two classes to be eligible to play. He made it though math and biology only puking once when the smell of the heart they were dissecting got to him. Addi is turning 12 on Sunday, Dec. 21. She had her birthday party with her friends last weekend. They had a great time. Addi is getting way to old!


Syd and I got to go see Hairspray live in Calgary. We had the best time!
