Week of patriotism!

It was a big week for the Princes with both Canada Day and Independence Day! We always try to celebrate both the Canadian and American holidays. We figure the more celebrating the better! Canada Day came first and it was a beautiful day. We went to the Airdrie parade in the morning (although I must say, it just wasn't the same as the Paris, Idaho parade. All my fellow Bear Lakers will know what I mean!) After that Craig's brother and his family came over for a barbeque. Syd and Braxton decorated the yard with red and white balloons and flags. Unfortunately, you can't buy any fireworks here. Not even a sparkler was to be had! Apparently Canadians can't be trusted with fire power.
Three days later we got out our stars and stripes! We did our best even though it rained all day long. We ended up having to barbeque inside. Syd and Addi were off at girls camp, so it was just me and the boys. That night we sat and wished that we were at my brother, Brad's, for the annual "porch of fire".

L to R: Our nephew Brandon's wife Tamsin, Brandon, DeeAnn, Craig's brother Kirk, Kirk's wife Sue and Craig enjoying some Canada Day fun!

Braxton, DeeAnn, Jordan and Craig showing their American heritage.
